Product Description

by Ronald O. Winters (Author), Paul D. Winters (With)

The Rookie was started by my cousin Ronnie, who was a retired captain from the Washington, DC, Metropolitan Police, and this book was almost complete. When he passed, I was asked to complete the work. I did not change anything; I just attempted to fill the story out.

Author Biography

Ronald O. Winters Ronnie was born and raised in Washington DC. He served on the Metropolitan DC police department for 20 years, retiring as a Captain. He and his family moved to Maryland so he could be closer to the ocean. Ronnie loved the water and boating was his passion. After retiring Ronnie began writing the Rookie. Regretfully he passed in 2012. John E. Winters John also grew up in Washington DC and joined the Metropolitan Police in 1931. John served with Washington for 36 years. After leaving the Police department John joined the Montgomery County Sherriffs department in a teaching capacity. During this time he taught extensively throughout the Country. John passed in 1985. Paul D. Winters Again Paul grew up in Washington, but at a young age his family moved to Florida. Paul followed the family tradition and served 34 years in public service 28 of which were law enforcement. After retirement He formed Winters Passion. The company holds events to support various charities that support Police and Military. Paul Still lives in Florida and is working on two projects. A second cookbook, and a series of short stories about the good thing Police Officers do every day that have nothing to do with Law Enforcement. To be clear John is Pauls Uncle. Ronnie his Cousin, and Clyde Was his Brother.
