Author Biography

Suzanne Orcutt, Ed.D., has thirty years of experience in education, including K-12 teaching in urban schools and higher education administration at Stanford University. She is a credentialed public schools teacher and administrator in the State of California. Dr. Orcutt's writing for youth illuminates the way science, metaphysics and myth can work together to help us understand our humanity.

Nancy-Jo Klaphaak is an award winning fine artist and illustrator. She has been a K-12 bilingual educator, and taught in the Graduate School of Education at U.C.L.A. Her art work can be seen in juried national and international shows. Ms. Klaphaak's art is on display in private collections around the world, and reflects her interest in indigenous cultures and nature, as well as her extensive travels and experiences living abroad.
