Author Biography

Hélène van Oudheusden is an international trainer for refugee children and teachers and specialises in multicultural teaching. She has been providing social-emotional learning (SEL) support since 2006 and is involved in educational humanitarian work in Greece since the 2015/2016 influx of refugees into Europe. Hélène van Oudheusden is founder of the international study visits 'Empowering Refugee Children in Education' to Lesvos, Greece. In these visits she educated teachers in practical compassion aimed at improving social-emotional learning for refugee children. Previous publication: Universal Values, Multicultural guidance in primary education (in Dutch only)
