When I first moved to France, I had the opportunity for an international solo exhibition. I knew the story I had to tell would be mine. I wanted people to know me. The French language was difficult for me, but I had a language of my own, so I told grabbed a brush and told my story. The paintings in this story (exhibition) told the universal truth of survival, endurance, hope and humanity. Life really. The art of all living. We are all here to tell a story. But life can get messy... so we make lemonade. jodi hills
