Author Biography
Antony Bell is founder/CEO of Leader Development Inc., an organization that has helped many leaders in multiple sectors engineer the transformation of their leadership--and through it, the transformation of their organization. He has created an integrated, comprehensive leadership framework that makes sense of the complexities of leadership and brings together all the multiple elements of leadership into a coherent whole. This framework, applicable to any context at any stage of a leader's career, is now widely applied by numerous individuals, consulting companies, coaching companies, government agencies, businesses, and nonprofit organizations; it is widely considered the most comprehensive summary of the key elements of great leadership. He is the author of Great Leadership: What It Is and What It Takes in a Complex World, and a frequent contributor to the business and leadership press. Denis A. Cortese M.D. practiced medicine for 40 years at Mayo Clinic, participating in education, research, and administration, and ended his career there as President and CEO from 2002 to 2009. He currently serves as Foundation Professor and Director of the Healthcare Delivery and Policy Program at Arizona State University, focusing on helping health care leaders embrace the solutions offered in Rescuing Healthcare. He also serves as President of the Healthcare Transformation Institute, and his international reach includes being an honorary member of the Royal College of Physicians (UK) and of the Academia Nacional de Medicina (Mexico). As a member of the Institute of Medicine, he chaired the Roundtable on Value and Science-Driven Medicine (creating under his tenure the Learning Health System Series). He has published several books including the Roadmap Series (A Roadmap to Better Health, A Roadmap to High-Value Healthcare Delivery, and A Roadmap to Medicare Sustainability), and written a chapter for Breakthrough: From Innovation to Impact.
