Steven Melman has completed a non-fiction psychology self-help book, "Guidance For New Clinicians In A Chaotic World: How To Practice Your Craft While Preserving Your Traditional Values." His book is unique because it seeks to help new clinicians find confidence and competence as they begin their careers. It offers professional experiences and scenarios that the reader will most likely encounter. His book is also tailored to appeal to the Christian and Conservative clinicians who ascribe to more traditional values. It seeks to expose the progressive direction the profession has taken and supports clinicians who are choosing not to accept this liberal indoctrination. Steven Melman received a Masters's Degree in Clinical Psychology and is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. He has been in the mental health field for over 40 years and has had a successful private practice for over 25 years, assisting clients with a variety of issues: depression and bipolar, substance abuse, assisting couples with their struggles, including parenting, and helping children and adolescents. He takes very seriously the issues that bring clients to counseling. However, he wants to strike a balance between helping clients not only resolve their problems but also encouraging them to bring their sense of humor, as he wants the experience to be pleasurable. In addition, he has experience and expertise in conducting presentations, Critical Incidence Stress Debriefings, and management consultations.
