Author Biography
Bette Dam is a reporter who lived and worked for eight years in Afghanistan; for this book she had unprecedented access to President Karzai and travelled to the most dangerous parts of the country to get the story. "Being a woman often gave me more access than I expected", she says. CNN, Global Post and The Guardian have published her articles. She is now working on a book about the Taliban.
