Product Description
Ceramic Crucible (Melting Dish) for Precious Metal Casting & Refining
This high-temperature ceramic melting dish is designed for jewelers, refiners, and metalworkers performing torch-based melting, casting, and refining of precious and non-ferrous metals.
Constructed from dense, heat-resistant ceramic, this crucible withstands repeated high-temperature use while maintaining structural integrity. The smooth interior surface promotes clean metal flow, and the textured exterior provides a secure grip during handling. An integrated pouring lip allows for controlled, accurate pours with reduced spillage and metal loss.
Available Sizes (Select from dropdown)

Key Features
High-temperature ceramic construction

Pro Tip: Season Before First Use (Strongly Recommended)
Seasoning helps prevent metal from sticking and significantly extends the life of the crucible.
How to season:
Add a small amount of borax (sodium borate) powder to the dish
Heat gently with a torch until the borax melts into a clear, glassy coating
Tilt and rotate to coat the entire interior, including the pouring lip
Allow to cool completely before use
This creates a protective glaze that improves metal flow and protects the ceramic.
