Product Description

by Jon Guomundsson (Author)

In the month of September 1615 three whale-hunting vessels from Gipuzkoa were shipwrecked in Iceland, right about the time when they were preparing for their return journey. 83 crewmembers survived the storm, but between thirty two and forty were killed in the following days. J n Gu mundsson wrote an unbiased report on those events, and as a result he was declared an outlaw in his own country. This edition is produced on the occasion of the 400 anniversary of those tragic events. 1615eko irailean, hiru baleontzi gipuzkoar Islandian hondoratu ziren ehiza denboraldi probetxugarriarekin euren etxeetara itzultzeko prest zeudenean. Laurogeita hiru arrantzale bizirik atera ziren ekaitzetik, baina hogeita hamabi eta berrogei bitarte erail egin zituzten hurrengo egunetan. J n Gu mundsson Jakintsuak gertakari hauek kontatu zituen eta horren eraginez erbestera kondenatu zuten. Edizio honek sarraskiaren 400. urtemuga oroitarazten du.
