100 Magical Words, Core-Words Activity Book For Young Readers and ESL Students is an activity book designed around the 100 most commonly-used words in the English language. The words we've cultivated are a hybrid as no two published lists agree on all words. As educators ourselves, instruction and activities built around these words has worked well for us for over thirty years. The activity book is very simply structured: Every word has it's own page. The child is exposed to the word five times per page. There is space for the child to practice writing the word and then to use the word in a sentence. There is plenty of "white space" so multiple children/students can use the same book. At the beginning of the learning-to-read journey, there is no need to expose the child to extraneous words as this can lead to unnecessary anxiety. For maximum effectiveness and interaction with the child, this activity book should be a parent/child or teacher/student endeavor.
