Collector and philanthropist George R. Kravis II has cultivated one of the preeminent collections of industrial design. He was a communications entrepreneur, forging a career in radio broadcasting, being one of the youngest people to own a jazz radio show and going on to own a number of radio stations. George Kravis is brother to Henry Kravis, the billionaire co-founder of Kohlberg, Kravis Roberts, one of the largest private equity firms in the world.
