Author Biography
The prayer as a form of worship has been around for literally thousands of years. The Assyrians and Babylonians made prayers to their early pagan gods 5,000 years ago and the Jews prayed to Jehovah nearly 4,000 years ago. This book is concerned with Christian, and specifically Catholic, prayers. These derive from sources as old as the Bible and as recent as Pope John Paul II who was a prolific composer. Many prayers were devised by people whose authorship is lost in the mists of time.
