Initially a kindergarten teacher, he has maintained an active interest in early childhood education, science education, and school administration. He has also served as an educational consultant for school systems, educational product development corporations, and publishers. He co-authored The Complete School-Age Child Care Resource Kit and authored the highly successful Learning Center Activities for the Full-Day Kindergarten, both published by Prentice-Hall. He has also co-authored science education textbooks and science activity books for Prentice Hall. He has written numerous articles in the area of school administration and science education which have appeared in professional journals. He was honored for the curriculum renewal process he developed in the National Science Teachers Association′s \"Search for Excellence in Science Education\" program. Also, he received the Administrative Excellence Award from the Bergen County Administrators Association.
