### Author Biography

**Gary Westfahl** is adjunct professor at the University of La Verne, CA. His previous books include _No Cure for the Future_ (2002), _Unearthly Visions_ (2002), _Worlds Enough and Time_ (2002), _Science Fiction, Canonization, Marginalization, and the Academy_ (2002), _Science Fiction, Children's Literature, and Popular Culture_ (2000), _Space and Beyond_ (2000), and _Cosmic Engineers_ (1996), all available from Greenwood Press.

**George Slusser** is professor of comparative literature at the University of California, Riverside. He has written several books about science fiction authors and coedited numerous scholarly studies. He is the coeditor of _Science Fiction, Canonization, Marginalization, and the Academy_ (2002), and _Unearthly Visions: Approaches to Science Fiction and Fantasy Art_ (2002), both available from Greenwood Press.
