### Author Biography

**Deborah Van Dyken** is an attorney and writer who lives in Beaufort, North Carolina. In addition to _Wild Geese Flying_, she is the author of _The Little Turkle_. During the past thirty years, Deborah has spent a lot of time observing the landscape and wildlife of Carteret County, North Carolina, which inspire her books for children.

**Jamison Ipock** is a native of coastal North Carolina, and her paintings often reflect coastal themes. After retiring from a 27-year career as a science teacher and administrator, she now dedicates her time and energy to painting and studying different visual art techniques.
