### Author Biography

**Grace Lin** is a _New York Times_ best-selling author, a National Book Award finalist, and a recipient of the Children's Literature Legacy Award. She won a Caldecott Honor for _A Big Mooncake for Little Star_, a Newbery Honor for _Where the Mountain Meets the Moon_, and a Theodor Geisel Honor for _Ling and Ting: Not Exactly the Same!_ Grace is a commentator for New England Public Radio, a reviewer for the _New York Times_, and a video essayist for PBS NewsHour. You can hear her speak about diversity and children's literature in her popular TEDx talk "The Windows and Mirrors of Your Child's Bookshelf."
