### Author Biography

**Birgitta Sif** was born in Reykjavik, Iceland, and lived in and around Scandinavia and America while growing up. She completed her BFA from Cornell University, New York, and worked as a graphic designer in New York before graduating with a masters in children's book illustration at Cambridge School of Art. Her debut picture book, _Oliver_, won the Icelandic Dimmalimm Prize and was endorsed by Amnesty. Birgitta has written and illustrated numerous picture books that have sold all over the world.
