### Author Biography

Cynthia Rylant is the author of more than 100 books for young people, including the beloved Henry and Mudge, Annie and Snowball, Brownie & Pearl, Motor Mouse, and Mr. Putter & Tabby series. Her novel _Missing May_ received the Newbery Medal. She lives in Portland, Oregon.

Sergio Ruzzier has written and illustrated many celebrated picture books, including _We Give Thanks_ by Cynthia Rylant and his own _Good Boy_, _A Letter for Leo_, and the Fox and Chick series, the first book in which received a Geisel Honor. His work has been awarded by American Illustration, The Society of Illustrators, _Communication Arts_, The Society of Publication Designers, and Parents' Choice.
