### Author Biography

Brian K. Vaughan is the Eisner and Hugo Award-winning writer/co-creator of multiple critically acclaimed series including _Saga, Paper Girls_, and _Y: The Last Man_, as well as the upcoming graphic novel _Spectators_ with artist Niko Henrichon, who he last collaborated with on _Pride of Baghdad_. Vaughan lives with his family in Los Angeles, where he occasionally dabbles in film and television, though he's always happiest making comics.

Marcos Martin is a Catalan comic book artist whose work at Marvel and DC includes such titles as _Batgirl: Year One_, _Breach_, _Dr.Strange: The Oath_, _Amazing Spider-man_, and _Daredevil_. In 2013 he founded the online platform Panel Syndicate together with writer Brian K. Vaughan and illustrator/colorist Muntsa Vicente in order to distribute their creator-owned comic, _The Private Eye_. The series went on to win an Eisner Award for Best Digital/Webcomic and the Harvey Award for Best Online Comics Work. _The Private Eye_ and Panel Syndicate have received critical acclaim and media attention for their role as one of the first DRM-free, pay-what-you-want comics and has continued to publish other works by the same team (_Barrier_, _The Walking Dead: The Alien_) as well as opening up to other renowned creators like Jay Faerber, Ken Niimura, David López or Albert Monteys.

Image Comics has since published both _The Private Eye_ as a deluxe hardcover graphic novel and _Barrier_ as a deluxe five-issue miniseries in their original widescreen format.
