**Michael Tedder** has written about music, film, the entertainment industry, television, health, and masculinity for _Esquire_, _Playboy_, _Money_, _The Street_, the _New Republic_, _Stereogum_, _Vulture_, _Variety_, the _Daily Beast_, _The Ringer_, the _Village Voice_, and _MEL_. He is the former managing editor of the music magazine _CMJ_ and the pop culture magazine _Paper_, and was a founding editor of the critical discussion website The Talkhouse. He cofounded the New York-based music critic reading series and podcast _Words and Guitars_. He lives in the New York metro area.
