### Author Biography

**Evan Turk** is an award-winning illustrator and author. He is the author-illustrator of _The Storyteller_, _You Are Home: An Ode to the National Parks_, and _Hello, Moon_; and the illustrator of _Muddy: The Story of Blues Legend Muddy Waters_, which was a _New York Times_ Best Illustrated Children's Book; _Grandfather Gandhi_; and _The People's Painter: How Ben Shahn Fought for Justice With Art_, which won the 2021 Robert F. Sibert Medal. Originally from Colorado, Turk now lives in Southern California with his husband and two cats.
