### Author Biography

**Dan B. Allender, Ph.D.,** is a fly fisherman who also serves as president of Mars Hill Graduate School near Seattle, Washington. He is a professor of counseling, a therapist in private practice, and a frequent speaker and seminar leader. Dan is the author of _How_ _Children Raise Parents_ and _The Healing Path_, as well as _The Wounded Heart, Bold Love, and Intimate Allies._ He and his wife, Rebecca, are the parents of three children.
