### Author Biography

**MELISSA MARTIN Ph.D.** is an author, columnist, educator, and clinical child therapist with extensive experience as a play and behavioral therapist. She is the author of the picture book, _Tessie Tames Her Tongue_. As a newspaper columnist, she writes about children's mental health issues and parenting. Melissa lives in Ohio.

**TROY CUMMINGS** is the creator of the _New York Times_ bestseller _Can I Be Your Dog?_ and its companion picture book _I Found A Kitty!_ He has written and illustrated a bunch of other books, including _The Eensy Weensy Spider Freaks Out! (Big-Time!)_, _Little Red Gliding Hood_ (written by Tara Lazar), _Those Are Not My Underpants!_ (written by Melissa Martin), and the chapter book series The Notebook of Doom.
