**Laura Wilson** is a photographer whose work has appeared in the _New Yorker_, the _New York Times_, _Vanity Fair_, and the _Washington Post_, among others. Her books include _Hutterites of Montana_ (Yale University Press, 2000), _Avedon at Work: In the American West_ (2003), and _That Day: Pictures in the American West_ (Yale University Press, 2015).
