### Author Biography

**Pete Souza** was the Official Chief White House Photographer for the entire tenure of the Presidency of Barack Obama. A professional photographer since the 1970's, Souza was the Washington Photographer for the _Chicago Sun-Times_ for several years as well as an official White House Photographer during the Reagan years. His work has appeared in _Life_ and _National Geographic_ and he is the author of several books, including the #1 _New York Times_ bestsellers _Obama: An Intimate Portrait_ and _Shade_.
