**Pete Prown** began writing about guitars and music in 1985. Today, he's a regular contributor and music editor at _Vintage Guitar_ magazine, and his work has been featured in _Guitar Player_, _Guitar for the Practicing Musician_, _Guitar One_, and _Car Stereo Review_, among others. Prown has also written several guitar books, including _Legends of Rock Guitar_ (with HP Newquist, 1997); _Modal Riffs for Rock Guitar_ (1995); _Gear Secrets of the Guitar Legends_ (with Lisa Sharken, 2003); _Shred!
