### Author Biography

**THE TRAGICALLY HIP** were the bestselling Canadian band in Canada and the fourth bestselling Canadian artist overall in Canada between 1996 and 2016. Nine of their albums have reached #1 on Canadian charts, and they have won 16 Juno Awards for their music.

**DREW MACKLIN**, co-author, is a real estate agent and a long-time Hip fan. He lives in Cobourg, Ontario.

**CLAYTON HANMER** is an illustrator with a broad range of clients from _The New York Times_ to _National Geographic Kids_. He has illustrated several books including _Trending: How and Why Stuff Gets Popular_ by Kira Vermond. He lives in Prince Edward County with his family.

**JULIA BRECKENREID** is an illustrator who lives in Toronto, painting stories for kids big and small. She holds a Diploma in Illustration from Sheridan College. Her books include _An Eye for Color_ by Natasha Wing and _A Room of Your Own_ by Beth Kephart.

**BRIDGET GEORGE** is an Anishinaabe author-illustrator and mom. She was raised on the shores of Lake Huron in the traditional territory of her people in Kettle and Stony Point First Nation. _It's a Mitig!_ was her debut picture book.

**MONIKA MELNYCHUK** is an illustrator who lives in Whitehorse. Her illustrations have been featured in _Fashion18_, _Chickadee_, _Owl_, _UTNE Reader_ and the _New York Times_. She is also the illustrator of _Girl in the Know_ by Anne Katz.
