**Dave Hoekstra** has been a staff writer for the _Chicago Sun-Times_ for 27 years, and has also written for the _Chicago Reader_, the _Journal of Country Music_, and _Playboy_. His previous books include _Ticket to Everywhere_, a collection of his Sun-Times travel columns, and _An Unofficial Guide to Chicago_.
