### Author Biography

**Tanya Landman** is the author of the picture book _Mary's Penny_, illustrated by Richard Holland, as well as the Poppy Fields mysteries _Mondays Are Murder_, _Dead Funny_, and other titles. She lives in the UK.

**Laura Carlin** is the illustrator of _King of the Sky_ and _The Promise_, both written by Nicola Davies and both of which were named _New York Times Book Review_ Best Illustrated Children's Books of the Year, as well as _The Iron Man_ by Ted Hughes, which was awarded an honorable mention in the Bologna Ragazzi Award fiction category. Her artwork has been featured in _Vogue_, the _New York Times_, and the _Guardian._ She lives in London.
