**Matt Groening** is the creator and executive producer of the Emmy Award-winning series _The Simpsons_, as well as the creator of the animated television series _Futurama_ and _Disenchantment_. In addition to supervising the ongoing production of his television series, he wrote and illustrated _Life in Hell_, a weekly syndicated comic strip from 1977 to 2012. Groening lives in Los Angeles.
