### Author Biography

MARGARET WISE BROWN, best known as the author of _Goodnight Moon,_ wrote many bestselling Golden Books, including _The Golden Egg Book, Home for a Bunny,_ and _The Color Kittens._

JANETTE SEBRING LOWREY, author of _The Poky Little Puppy_\--the bestselling picture book of all time--wrote mostly teen fiction during the 1940s and 1950s.

KATHRYN JACKSON penned hundreds of lively, witty stories for Golden Books, including _Tawny Scrawny Lion_ and _Nurse Nancy._ She wrote _The Saggy Baggy Elephant_ with her husband, Byron.

Caldecott Medalists ALICE AND MARTIN PROVENSEN began to illustrate books together in the mid-1940s, many of them for Golden Books, including _The Fuzzy Duckling_ and _The Color Kittens.
