**Jason Duesing** can often be found near or sketching streams, trees, and mountains. He is the author of _Mere Hope: Life in an Age of Cynicism_ (B&H) and writes for _For the Church, The Gospel Coalition, Tabletalk_ and other publications, including his own website "Footnotes," at JGDuesing.com. He serves at Midwestern Seminary in Kansas City and is married to Kalee. Together, they have two sons of Adam and two daughters of Eve.
