Margaret McNamara is the author of four other titles about Mr. Tiffin's class: _A Poem in Your Pocket,_ called a nimble introduction to poetry by the _New York Times; The Apple Orchard Riddle,_ said to spark fruitful curriculum discussion by _School Library Journal;_ and _How Many Seeds in a Pumpkin?_, called illuminating by _Family Fun_ magazine and _The Dinosaur Expert_, which received three starred reviews. She is also the author countless other picture books, including _Vote for Our Future,_ which _Kirkus Reviews_ called essential in a starred review. Ms. McNamara lives in New York City.
