### Author Biography

**Arthur V. Evans** is an entomologist, author, photographer, and teacher. His many books include _The Lives of Beetles_, _Beetles of Western North America_, and _Beetles of Eastern North America_ (all Princeton). **Tugce Okay** is a natural history illustrator who works primarily with watercolors. Her work has appeared in many books and magazines.
