### Author Biography

**Marieke Nijkamp** was born and raised in the Netherlands. A lifelong student of stories, language, and ideas, she spends as much time in fictional worlds as she does the real world. She loves to travel, roll dice, and daydream.

Marieke's YA novels include: _This Is Where It Ends_, which follows four teens during the fifty-four minutes of a school shooting. _Before I Let Go,_ a haunting murder mystery set during a cruel Alaskan winter. _Even If We Break_, a cabin-in-the-woods type thriller, following five teens, the RPG game that binds them, and the secrets that threaten to break them. _At The End Of Everything_, pitched as _The Society_ meets _Contagion_.

Marieke also wrote the first Critical Role novel: _Vox Machina--Kith & Kin_.

Additionally, Marieke is the editor of _Unbroken_, an anthology of 13 stories starring disabled teens, written by disabled authors.  
Marieke's graphic novels and comics include: _The Oracle Code_, a graphic novel for DC Books for Young Readers, with art by Manuel Preitano. _Goosebumps: Secrets of the Swamp_, a comic miniseries for IDW Publishing, with art by Yasmin Flores Montanez. _Hawkeye: Kate Bishop_, a comic miniseries for Marvel, with art by Enid Balám.
