### Author Biography

**Roger Moorhouse** is a visiting professor at the College of Europe in Warsaw. The author of several books on World War II history, including _Poland 1939_ (winner of the Polish Foreign Ministry History Prize), _Berlin at War_ (shortlisted for the Hessell-Tiltman Prize), and _The Devils' Alliance_, he lives in the United Kingdom.
