It presents the entire text of the _Guhyagarbha Tantra,_ in Tibetan and English, together with one of its most important commentaries, _Dispelling the Darkness of the Ten Directions,_ by the outstanding fourteenth-century master Longchen Rabjam. In addition, it presents the author's rewriting of Candragomin's inspirational _Extensive Commentary on the Sublime Litany of the Names of Ma juśrī_, which correlates diverse aspects of Ma juśrī to the five pristine cognitions.

### Author Biography

CHOYING TOBDEN DORJE (1787-1848) was a brilliant Buddhist master from the Amdo region of eastern Tibet, renowned for his realization of great perfection. A disciple of the first Dodrupchen Rinpoche, he founded the monastery of Dzokchen Namgyal Ling and was instrumental in establishing the community of lay tantric practitioners known as the Repkong Ngak-mang.

GYURME DORJE holds a master's degree in Sanskrit and a PhD in Tibetan literature from the School of Oriental and African Studies at the University of London. He has written, edited, translated, and contributed to numerous books on Tibetan culture, among them _The Nyingma School of Tibetan Buddhism_ and _The Tibetan Book of the Dead: First Complete Translation._ He is based in Crieff, Scotland.
