**ABBY GENI** is the author of _The Lightkeepers_, winner of the Barnes & Noble Discover Great New Writers Award for Fiction and the inaugural _Chicago Review of Books_ Award for Best Fiction; _The Wildlands_, a finalist for the _Los Angeles Times_ Book Prize; and _The Last Animal_, an Indies Introduce Debut Authors selection and a finalist for the Orion Book Award. Geni is a graduate of the Iowa Writers' Workshop and a recipient of the Iowa Fellowship.
