**MARIANNA COPPO** is an author and illustrator who studied editorial illustration at MiMaster in Milan and now focuses on freelance illustration. Her debut picture book, _Petra_, received starred reviews from _Kirkus_, _Publishers Weekly_ and _Booklist_, and was shortlisted for the Kate Greenaway Medal.
