### Author Biography

Lucasfilm creative art manager **Phil Szostak** has worked in conjunction with _Star Wars_ art departments since 2008. A graduate of the School of Visual Arts in New York, Szostak ran the JAK Films Art Department on Skywalker Ranch for more than three years before joining the narrative design team on LucasArts's _Star Wars: 1313_. He is also the author of _The Art of Star Wars: The Last Jedi_ (Abrams, 2017) and _The Art of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker_ (Abrams, 2019).

**Doug Chiang** is an Academy Award-wining artist, author, and production designer. He currently serves as Lucasfilm VP and executive creative director.
