### Author Biography

**Andrew Osmond** is a British-based writer (often found in Tokyo), specialising in animation and fantasy media. He has interviewed many anime creators, ranging from Makoto Shinkai to Yoshiyuki Tomino. His books include _100 Animated Feature Films_, _BFI Film Classics: Spirited Away_ and _Satoshi Kon: The Illusionist_. He writes regularly for the anime magazine _NEO_, and also contributes to _Sight & Sound_ and _SFX_.
