### Author Biography

**ERIC GUILLON** is an award-winning French character designer and director. He served as the art director for _Despicable Me_ and _Dr. Seuss' The Lorax_, and production designer for _The Secret Life of Pets_. Together with directors Chris Renaud and Pierre Coffin, Guillon co-created the hugely popular Minions.

**BEN CROLL** is a film journalist and critic whose work has been published in _IndieWire_, _The Wrap_, _Screen International_, and _France 24_. He has written about animation for _Vanity Fair_ and _Variety_, covering the intersection of the French and US film industries.

**CHRIS MELEDANDRI** is an American film producer and the founder and CEO of Illumination.
