### Author Biography

Shaun Tan is the _New York Times_ bestselling author of _The Arrival_, _Tales from Outer Suburbia_, _Tales from the Inner City_, _Rules of Summer_, and _The Singing Bones_. He received the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award in 2011 and won an Academy Award for the adaptation of his picture book _The Lost Thing_ (from _Lost & Found: Three by Shaun Tan_). Shaun lives in Melbourne, Australia.
