### Author Biography

**Julie Fingersh** is a writer and freelance journalist. Her work has appeared in _The New York Times_, _O, The Oprah Magazine_, _The Huffington Post, The San Francisco Chronicle_, The _Miami Herald, Business Week_ and more. Her blog is a midlife sequel of an award winning humorist column she wrote in New York City in her twenties for _Billboard Publications_. Julie served as the founding executive director of Boston Cares, which became a nationally recognized model for community and corporate partnerships and recently celebrated its 32nd year.
