### Author Biography

Joanna Cole (1944-2020) was best known for her beloved Magic School Bus series. Before becoming a full-time writer, she taught elementary school, worked with a news magazine, and was a senior editor of children's books.

James Burks started drawing as a little kid and hasn't stopped since. Along the way he's written and illustrated some books of his own, including _Gabby and Gator_, _Beep and Bah_, and _Bird and Squirrel on the Run._ The illustrator of _The Monstore_, James lives in Southern California with his family.
