### Author Biography

**Pablo Hidalgo** has been writing professionally about _Star Wars_ since 1995. In 2000, he joined Lucasfilm to become a full-time _Star Wars_ authority, first as a StarWars.com writer, and now as a creative executive in story development. He has written or co-written several authoritative Star Wars reference books, including _Star Wars: Year by Year_ and _Star Wars: The Essential Reader's Companion_, as well as guidebooks to other brands such as Hasbro's _G.I. Joe_ and _Transformers._ He lives in San Francisco.

**Dr. David West Reynolds** earned his Ph.D. in archeology at the University of Michigan. A lecturer, veteran of field expeditions on three continents, and author of scientific archeological publications, Reynolds has also written five _Star Wars_ books, including DK's best-selling _Star Wars: Incredible Cross-Sections_ and _Star Wars: Complete Vehicles._

**Ryder Windham** is the author of more than 60 _Star Wars_ titles, including _Star Wars Blueprints: The Ultimate Collection_ and the _New York Times_ bestseller, _Star Wars: The Ultimate Visual Guide_. An occasional freelance cartoonist and storyboard artist, he is also an instructor and the Certificate Program Advisor for Comics and Sequential Art at Rhode Island School of Design Continuing Education.

**Jason Fry** is the author of _The Jupiter Pirates_, a young-adult space-fantasy series and has written or co-written more than 30 novels, short stories, and other works set in the galaxy far, far away, including _The Essential Atlas_ and the _Servants of the Empire_ quartet. He lives in Brooklyn, New York, with his wife, son, and about a metric ton of _Star Wars_ Stuff.

**Kerrie Dougherty** is an independent Australian space historian, researcher, and writer. Formerly Curator of Space Technology at the Powerhouse Museum, Sydney, she also lectures in Space Humanities for the International Space University and is a Member of the International Academy of Astronautics. A _Star Wars_ fan since 1977, Kerrie has also contributed to DK's _Star Wars: Complete Locations_ and _Star Wars: Complete Cross-Sections_.

**Richard Chasemore** has worked as an illustrator and 3D computer artist in the U.S. and Europe for nearly two decades, most notably producing work for DK's _Incredible Cross Sections_ and _Inside the Worlds of Star Wars_.

**Hans Jenssen** studied graphic design at college and specialized in technical illustration. He has co-illustrated a total of 10 _Star Wars_ books alongside Richard Chasemore, with whom he has developed a close friendship.
