### Author Biography

**Mary Kathryn Barbier** is an associate professor of history at Mississippi State University. She is the author of several books, including _Kursk 1943: The Greatest Tank Battle Ever Fought_ and _D-Day Deception: Operation Fortitude and the Normandy Invasion_. **Dennis Showalter** is professor emeritus of history at Colorado College. He is the author of twenty-four books, including _Armor and Blood: The Battle of Kursk, the Turning Point of World War II_.
