### Author Biography

**Max Neumann** is a German artist whose works are part of numerous public and private collections such as Neue Nationalgalerie, Hamburger Kunsthalle, Fondation Maeght, and Seibu Museum of Art. **Hubertus von Amelunxen** is a cultural theorist, historian, and curator. He is the director of the Archivio Conz in Berlin. **Tess Lewis** is a translator French and German, including Philippe Jaccottet's _Obscurity_.
