### Author Biography

**Roy Henry Vickers** is a renowned carver, painter, printmaker and storyteller. He is the illustrator and co-author of Harbour Publishing's popular children's First West Coast Book series and Northwest Coast Legends series, the latter of which were all shortlisted for the Bill Duthie Booksellers' Choice Award: _Raven Brings the Light_ in 2014, _Cloudwalker_ in 2015, _Orca Chief_ in 2016 and _Peace Dancer_ in 2017. His other books include _Storyteller_ (Harbour Publishing, 2014) and _Voices from the Skeena_ (Harbour Publishing, 2019). He lives in Hazelton, BC.

**Robert (Lucky) Budd** is the co-author of both the Northwest Coast Legends series and First West Coast Book series and the author of _Voices of British Columbia_ (Douglas & McIntyre, 2010), which was shortlisted for the 2011 Bill Duthie Booksellers' Choice Award, and its sequel, _Echoes of British Columbia_ (Harbour Publishing, 2014), which won second prize in the BC Historical Federation's writing competition in 2014. He is also co-author of _Voices from the Skeena_ (Harbour Publishing, 2019). He lives in Victoria, BC.
