### Author Biography

**Dinah Lenney** has served as core faculty for the Bennington Writing Seminars and in the Master of Professional Writing Program at the University of Southern California. A longtime nonfiction editor at _LARB_, she herself has published several books in the genre, including _Coffee_ (as part of the Bloomsbury Object Lessons series), _The Object Parade_ and _Bigger than Life,_ and co-edited _Brief Encounters: A Collection of Literary Nonfiction_ with the late Judith Kitchen. Dinah's essays and reviews have appeared in the _Los Angeles Times_, _The New York Times_, and _The Washington Post_ among many other publications.
